Expo 2027 Yokohama (GREEN×EXPO 2027) made strong global strides at the TICAD9 conference in Yokohama. Four African nations—Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, and Mozambique—formalised their participation by signing official agreements, underscoring the Expo’s growing role as a hub for international exchange and collaboration. The conference also unveiled the Expo’s official mascot, Tunku Tunku, at the TICAD9 welcome reception. In a deeply cultural moment, Tunku Tunku met Myaku‑Myaku, the mascot of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, symbolically bridging the two upcoming horticultural celebrations and showcasing how culture and identity are being woven into this global platform. With new African partners and a vibrant mascot-led public identity, Expo 2027 Yokohama (GREENxEXPO 2027) is forging ahead on the path to its opening on 19 March 2027. 🌍 African nations join Expo 2027 Yokohama (GREEN×EXPO 2027) at TICAD9
